The tree is noted for its longevity and forms a spreading spherical crown. The variety is hardy, possesses high frost resistance, and is suitable for cultivation on deep soils in cool climatic conditions. At the same time, it is susceptible to scab and woolly apple aphid infestation.

The fruits ripen at the end of September or in October, reaching consumer maturity by December. They have greenish-yellow skin with a red blush. Entry into bearing is late, yields are moderate with a characteristic biennial bearing pattern.

The variety is a good pollinator. Due to their flavor profile, the fruits are used more often for culinary processing, making jam, drying, and the production of cider and fruit wines, and less often consumed fresh.
