The variety is an autochthonous cultivar originating from the Upper Val di Susa region in the Italian province of Turin. It is currently preserved as part of local genetic diversity and is represented in specialized fruit crop collections.

Harvesting of this variety's fruit takes place at the end of October. Ripe apples are distinguished by a pronounced aroma. Other morphological characteristics of the tree, as well as data on resistance to diseases and pests, are not available in open sources.
