The Danish variety Venus (synonyms Møllers Venus, Venusæble) is a medium-sized tree with an upright growth habit. The fruits are small or medium-sized with yellow skin. The flesh is white with a yellowish tint, firm, hard, and slightly dry. The apples are late-maturing and suitable for long-term storage.

The variety Gala Venus (synonym Fengal) is a clone of the Gala variety and is used in commercial horticulture. Depending on the type of rootstock on which this clone is grown, the installation of supports may be required.
