The Venus Golden (Venus Gold / Harlikar) variety has golden-yellow fruits, sometimes with red spots. The taste qualities are characterized as sweet, with a fruity aroma and an absence of pronounced acidity; the flesh is crunchy.

The Gala Venus (Fengal) variety is a mutant of the Gala variety. The trees are weak- or medium-vigor, the fruits are medium or large in size, intensely red with stripes. The flesh is crunchy, juicy, and aromatic; harvest maturity occurs at the end of August, keeping quality is maintained until March.

The Danish variety Venus (Vejlø) has been known since 1848. Its fruits have a straw-yellow color, sometimes with a slight pink blush; the flesh is white and juicy.
