The Voinesti 2 rootstock is a product of the Romanian research institute SCDP Voinești. By the age of ten, trees grafted onto this rootstock reach a height of 1.8 to 2.4 meters.

The plant exhibits good compatibility with most apple varieties and promotes high productivity. Propagation is carried out by stool layering. Biological characteristics of the rootstock include low root sucker formation and sensitivity to woolly apple aphid infestation.
