The variety is also known as Gubener Warraschke or Warraschke von Guben. It is a late-winter variety whose fruits reach harvest maturity in mid-October, consumer maturity occurs in December, and storage is possible until May.

The fruits are small, have a flattened shape, and a yellowish color with a red blush. The flesh is unusually loose for flat apples, juicy, with a spicy sweet-wine-acidic taste. Historically, apples of this variety were used for the production of juice and local apple wine.

The variety is considered an old cultivar and is currently preserved in home gardens as a genetic resource. It is an important element of the cultural tradition of the Guben region, in particular the local apple festival.
