The variety is a local selection from the Abruzzo and Molise regions. The fruits are medium-sized, from 50 to 120 g, and have a spherical, slightly flattened shape. The skin is firm, smooth, waxy, and colored yellow-green with reddish areas and brownish lenticels.

The flesh is white, crisp, and contains high sugars and low acids. A characteristic feature is the vitreousness of the flesh. The variety is partially self-fertile; for increased yields, pollinators such as Golden Delicious are recommended. The fruits ripen in mid-October and can be stored for up to six months.
