The fruits are small, with an average weight of about 30 g and a diameter of about 40 mm, having a oblate-round, slightly ribbed shape. The fruit color is yellow with a red or crimson blush. The flesh is firm at harvest, becoming juicy and tender during storage; the taste is sweet and sour, with spicy notes and slight astringency.
Fruit ripening occurs in the first half of September. The storage life of the harvest is short, usually until November. The fruits are used for making jam, fruit butter, pastila, and compotes.
