The variety Tukker (also known as TEnglandker) belongs to early-ripening apple trees, the fruits of which ripen before the Cox variety. In specialized pomological indices, it is classified as a dessert variety.
The origin of the variety is linked to breeding work in the Netherlands, where it was obtained by crossing the varieties Lunteraan and Lonneker. During tests, it was noted that the fruit coloration and marketability indicators of this variety are lower compared to a number of other samples.
