The variety was developed through the selection of wild chamomile populations collected in Spain. The plant is used as a medicinal crop for the pharmaceutical industry due to the accumulation of biologically active compounds, particularly essential oils, in the flower heads.
Biologically, the variety is diploid (2n). Morphological traits are characterized by medium length of flower stalks and medium foliage density at the bud appearance stage. The plant possesses low susceptibility to wilting.
Currently, the variety is mainly used as an object for comparative studies of the raw material's chemical profile and is recognized as one of the early breeding forms in the history of the cultivation of this species.
