The Manzana variety is a tetraploid characterized by larger and more robust inflorescences, as well as developed vegetative mass compared to diploid forms. The plant has a sweet apple aroma and is adapted to temperate climates and medium-fertility soils.

The quality of the raw material of the variety is determined by a high content of valuable compounds: when dried at 40°C, the chamazulene content is at least 150 mg%, and (–)-α-bisabolol is at least 300 mg%. The variety is intended for the industrial cultivation of medicinal raw materials and the production of essential oil for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

The agrotechnical features of the variety are aimed at suitability for mechanized harvesting due to the stability of the flower stalks and uniformity of the flowering horizon.
