The variety is diploid (2n) and is intended for the commercial cultivation of flower heads, which are distinguished by high quality and a rich composition of chemical compounds, including flavonoids and polyphenols.

The plant demonstrates reliability under moisture deficit conditions. Compared to tetraploid varieties, Mastar may yield less in terms of total inflorescence mass, but shows an advantage in the quality characteristics of the essential oil.
