The Lutea variety is an annual herbaceous plant with a significantly branched rounded stem. The leaves have an average degree of dissection and green color; the flower heads are large and located on long peduncles.

The plant belongs to the bisabolol type and is characterized by an essential oil content in the range of 1.0–1.2%. The variety is distinguished by an increased yield of chamazulene compared to diploid forms and is used for obtaining pharmaceutical raw materials.
