Variety description

The variety is a tetraploid form of Matricaria chamomilla with a low or medium-height habit. The leaves of the plant are medium-green, with a moderate or coarse degree of pinnateness; the inflorescences are of medium or large size. Flowering of the variety occurs at early or medium dates.

The plant is susceptible to fungal diseases, including powdery mildew, Septoria, and lesions caused by the pathogen Rhexocercosporidium. In industrial cultivation, the main focus is on the quality of raw materials: a high level of essential oils, chamazulene, and alpha-bisabolol, as well as a matricin content of about 1.0 mg/g of dry raw material.
