The variety is a diploid form of Matricaria chamomilla, which has historically served as an important starting material for breeding work. Based on it, new varieties with improved indicators of biologically active substance accumulation were developed through tetraploidization and subsequent selection.
The plant is valued for its high level of secondary metabolites, in particular (-)-α-bisabolol. In scientific literature, the variety is often referred to as a reference chemotype used in pharmaceutical research for obtaining high-quality essential oil and extracts.
