The variety is a complex hybrid population obtained by crossing Medicago sativa and Medicago falcata. The plant forms a dense, fine-stemmed, and leafy stand. A distinctive feature is the variegated color of the flowers, which varies from yellowish-blue to blue-brown shades.

The variety belongs to the mid-early maturity group. Approximately 57–60 days elapse from the beginning of regrowth to the flowering stage, with three cuttings per season possible. The plant is distinguished by good winter hardiness and the ability to adapt to slightly acidic soils; with proper agrotechnology, it persists in the stand for 4–6 years.
