The variety is a perennial crop used as a forage plant and for breeding purposes as a component for creating hybrids. Distinctive features of the species include yellow flower coloration and stems which, depending on the ecotype, can be either erect or prostrate.
The plant possesses high hardiness and adaptability to environmental conditions. At present, the variety is the only registered selected variety of sickle alfalfa in the Czech Republic.
