The variety was developed through the selection of plants that survived brown root rot infection. Due to this, it possesses specific resistance to this disease caused by the fungus Phoma sclerotioides.
The plant belongs to the type with the most pronounced dormancy (fall dormancy rating 1), which ensures high survival in extremely cold conditions. The variety demonstrates an average regrowth rate after mowing.
Due to its longevity and ability to produce high biomass in northern regions, the variety is used for hay production and pasture establishment in areas with harsh climates.
