The variety is of Italian origin and is intended for cultivation as a forage crop for hay or fodder. In scientific research, the variety was used in comparative trials to analyze stem morphology and forage mass quality.
Under sub-optimal water regime conditions, the variety demonstrated lower productivity compared to a number of other test subjects, however, it exhibited relative biomass resistance to moisture deficiency, which is presumably linked to its physiological adaptations.
