The variety is characterized by slow initial development, but is capable of long-term persistence in the stand. The plant is suitable for cultivation on acidic soils and is intended for use as a forage crop for haymaking and grazing.
The variety is adapted to the various climatic conditions of Italy: it is suitable for northern and central regions under dry climate conditions, as well as for southern regions and islands provided there is irrigation.
