The plant forms a wide bush or a tree with a spreading, drooping crown, reaching a height of 4 to 6 meters. The fruits are large, 5–6 cm in diameter and weighing 60–70 g, ranging in shape from round to pear-shaped with a dark brown color.
The variety is late-ripening; harvesting is carried out in October–November. For consumption, the fruits must undergo a softening process. The tree begins bearing fruit in the 2nd–3rd year after planting and is capable of withstanding frosts down to -28...-34°C.
The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption after ripening, as well as for processing into jams, purees, and wines. Due to its beautiful foliage, which acquires bronze-red and golden tones in autumn, the tree is often used as an ornamental plant.
