The variety is a deciduous tree or large shrub with an open, wide-spreading crown, reaching a height of up to 6 meters. The leaves are dark green, lanceolate, with a serrated edge and pubescent undersides, turning reddish-brown or golden-orange in autumn.
Flowering occurs in May–June with large, saucer-shaped white flowers. The medium-sized fruits ripen by November–December and require post-harvest ripening after the first frosts. The variety is self-fertile, possesses winter hardiness down to -20°C, and is often cultivated on Crataegus monogyna rootstock.
