The tree reaches 4–5 meters in height and has a wide spreading crown. The variety is late-ripening: harvest occurs in November, after which the fruits require ripening until the flesh softens. Flower buds are set at the ends of the shoots, therefore crown pruning is not recommended as it reduces yields.
The fruits are flattened-globular in shape with thick skin, which may crack in the calyx area. After ripening, the flesh is aromatic, sweet and sour, and contains large seeds. The fruits are used fresh and for processing, and the plant itself has ornamental qualities.
The variety is low-maintenance, exhibits high resistance to diseases and pests, but may be susceptible to fire blight and Monilinia.
