The Muscari latifolium variety Purple Rain has flowers colored in the lower part in dark purple (donkerviolet N92A), transitioning to blue-violet shades (blauwviolet 90C). The plant height is about 25 cm.

Flowering of the variety occurs in the period from March to April. The plant prefers sunny or semi-shaded areas and is intended for group plantings, border design, and use in rock gardens.
