The variety is most often classified as the species Muscari aucheri, more rarely encountered as Muscari armeniacum. The plant reaches a height of 15–20 cm and possesses linear basal leaves of light green color.

Flowering occurs in April–May. The plant is characterized by winter hardiness (USDA zones 3–4, withstands down to -34°C) and resistance to diseases, pests, as well as damage by rabbits and deer.

The variety is used in group plantings, mixed borders, rock gardens, and containers. It possesses a sweet fragrance and the ability to naturalize in one location for several years.
