The variety was obtained at the Agricultural Experimental Station in Khan Krum. It is distinguished by a balanced chemical composition typical of the Burley group: high nicotine content and low levels of soluble carbohydrates.

During studies, the variety demonstrated a 15.7% yield increase compared to the Burley 21 standard. The variety is a commercial type intended for the production of tobacco products.
