The variety belongs to the cultivated tobacco Nicotiana tabacum L. and was included in phytopathological studies conducted under the auspices of the Central Laboratory of the Tobacco Industry in Krakow.

During the tests, the variety was classified as susceptible to potato virus Y (PVY). The presence of the susceptibility gene va was established, while the reaction to inoculation with virus isolates was accompanied by the appearance of vein necrosis.
