The variety belongs to the semi-oriental type, historically developed in the Herzegovina region. The plant is large in size and capable of forming a large number of leaves, which depends on cultivation conditions.

This variety is late-maturing compared to some other types of oriental tobacco. It demonstrates high resistance to blue mold.

In agronomic practice, the variety is used for blending cigarette and pipe mixtures. Studies of smoke composition show a significant total condensate content in products from this variety.
