Variety description

The variety is late-maturing; plant height ranges from 190 to 250 cm. The leaves are large, lanceolate, with a narrow petiole and strong acuteness, having a length of 40–54 cm and a width of 27–38 cm. During the maturation process, the leaf takes on an arcuate bend.

The raw material acquires a brown color after air-curing. The tobacco is characterized by medium strength with a nicotine content of about 1.4% and a classic taste with possible fruity or herbaceous notes. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to the main diseases of the crop.

The plant originates from Transcarpathia and is used as a skeletal component of tobacco blends. In scientific practice, it is used as a standard variety for comparative breeding studies of economically valuable traits.
