The plant forms neat, upright bushes with relatively small leaves that have a tender texture and a bright green color. The variety is valued for its clean, sweet, and distinct aroma, which is considered the benchmark for Ligurian basil.

This is an annual, heat-loving plant suitable for cultivation in the open field, containers, or on windowsills. With a moisture deficit, the plants can lose a significant portion of their chlorophyll. The leaves are used fresh or dried for preparing pesto sauce, pasta dishes, salads, meat, and fish.

Due to its compact shape, the variety is often used not only in vegetable gardens but also for decorative purposes, including border plantings and placement on terraces and balconies.
