The Drobnica tree is characterized by moderate growth, a canopy with sparse foliage, and vertical branches. Leaves are short, tapering toward the tip. Fruits are small, with a mass of about 2.2 g, ovoid in shape; upon ripening, they change color from yellow-green to wine-red or black.
The variety is self-pollinating and is distinguished by stable yield. The plant possesses high adaptability and is resistant to drought, low temperatures, winds, olive knot, and trunk rot. At the same time, susceptibility to sooty mold, peacock spot, and certain pests is noted.
The oil of this variety possesses a pronounced flavor and aromatic profile with notes of bitterness and a sweetish aftertaste. The product contains a high concentration of oleic acid, tocopherols, and biophenols with a low level of linoleic acid.
