The tree has a lush, medium-sized, open-type crown and high growth vigor. The leaves are elliptical in shape and medium in size. The fruits are small, weighing less than 2 grams, with a symmetrical elliptical shape, turning black or purple upon ripening.

The variety belongs to the late and prolonged ripening category and is characterized by regular bearing and high productive capacity. It is self-fertile, but yields increase in the presence of pollinator varieties. The variety is sensitive to cold and has low resistance to a number of diseases, including olive knot and the olive fruit fly.

The fruits have an oil content of approximately 23%. The resulting oil is valued for its high organoleptic qualities and is used both as a monovarietal oil and in blends. The variety itself is also frequently used as a pollinator for other olive varieties.
