The variety was obtained by mass selection of Frantoio seedlings. The tree has an upright crown and moderate growth vigor. The spherical fruits reach a mass of 4–5 g and turn black when ripe. The variety is partially self-fertile and begins to bear fruit in the 3rd–4th year after planting.
Fruit ripening occurs in November. The variety possesses cold resistance and medium-high resistance to leaf spot. The average oil yield is approximately 16%. Organoleptically, the oil is characterized by notes of artichoke, tomato, green apple, freshly cut grass, rosemary, and mint with pronounced bitterness and pungency.
