The variety belongs to the long-grain group of the "Lungo A" type. The grain is large, semi-pointed, and opaque (pearl type).
The rice has a high starch content, which gives dishes a creamy texture when cooked, while maintaining the shape and firmness of the grains. Cooking time is 14–16 minutes.
The variety is versatile and intended for preparing risotto, casseroles, arancini, soups, and side dishes. In terms of cultivation, it is widely distributed in the regions of Piedmont, Lombardy, and Sardinia.
