The variety is mid-season; the period from emergence to the start of harvest is 60–80 days. The plant forms a dense, semi-spreading rosette with strongly curled dark green leaves on short petioles.

The variety possesses good winter hardiness and tolerates short-term frosts and drought. The green mass is distinguished by a strong aroma and the ability to regrow rapidly after cutting. The produce is suitable for fresh consumption, drying, freezing, and canning.
