Variety description

The perennial subshrub has a compact upright or vase-shaped habit. Foliage height is 45–60 cm; with flower stalks, the plant reaches 50–70 cm. The stems possess a distinct anthocyanin coloration.
Young leaves have a dark purple hue, gradually transitioning to dark green. Orange-red flowers with a yellow throat are gathered in paniculate inflorescences. The flowering period lasts from June to September or until late autumn.
The plant belongs to USDA hardiness zones 6–10 and withstands temperature drops down to -12.2 °C. In more severe climatic conditions, container cultivation with the possibility of moving indoors is recommended.
