Variety description

The plant is a shrub with upright stems and lanceolate green leaves. From summer to autumn, the variety produces spike-like inflorescences of tubular bright red flowers.

The variety is a hardy plant adapted to most soil types, provided there is good drainage. In temperate climates, including UK winters, the variety shows good cold resistance.

The variety is used in ornamental gardening for mixed borders, cottage-style gardens, and in areas to attract pollinators.
