Variety description

The plant has a dense symmetrical pyramidal shape with resilient, upward-pointing branches. After 10 years, the height is about 40–80 cm. The needles are short and thin; young spring shoots are colored an intense yellow, which gradually changes to green by June–July.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness (zone 3, down to –40 °C) and resistance to sunburn. It is undemanding regarding soil conditions, adapts well to most soil types, preferring moderately moist and drained sites. Due to the dense crown, the plant usually does not require pruning.
