The plant is of the semi-leafless type, which provides increased lodging resistance, and reaches a height of about 81 cm. The flowers are white. The seeds are characterized by yellow cotyledons and a greenish-yellow seed coat.
The variety is winter-hardy down to -17.8°C. Due to the absence of tannins in the seed coat, it has high nutritional value and good palatability for livestock. Yield depends on growing conditions and ranges from 19 to 38 c/ha.
