The variety is intended for creating high-quality turf covers and intensive use, including winter sports grounds. In professional literature, the variety is mentioned as a participant in professional trials, in particular the NTEP program.

In UPOV documents, the Ampellia variety was used as a reference for describing the morphological characteristics of Poa pratensis. The studies included an assessment of its disease resistance, as well as comparison with other representatives of the species.
