The variety was developed based on breeding work with a wild ecotype discovered in Russia. The plant is a perennial rhizomatous-loose-bunched grass adapted for landscaping territories.

The variety is recommended for use in grass mixtures with other graminoid grasses. During testing, indicators of winter hardiness, color intensity, sod density, disease resistance, and seed yield are evaluated.
