The variety belongs to the North Norwegian ecotype, adapted to a harsh climate and short growing seasons. It is distinguished by a high rate of rhizome growth and a pronounced seed dormancy, which germinates better under alternating temperatures.

The plant demonstrates high sensitivity to day length and temperature, rapidly initiating the formation of floral primordia. The variety possesses reduced heat tolerance compared to southern analogs.

Seed production of the variety is difficult due to high dependence on environmental conditions and the risk of damage to floral primordia. The purpose of the variety is for use in northern regions, including as a component in grass mixtures with Phleum pratense or legumes.
