The variety is of Norwegian origin (latitude 61° N). Compared to more northern varieties, it is distinguished by greater plant height and a weak dependence of growth on the time of sampling. The variety shows a high capacity for the formation of tillers and rhizomes in the autumn period, while the fertility of tillers developed from rhizomes is higher than that of intravaginal tillers.

In the conditions of northern regions, the variety shows intensive accumulation of dry matter in the spring months (May–June). Biochemical analysis indicates a high content of total nitrogen and phosphorus in the composition of the dry matter. The optimal constant temperature for seed germination is 16°C, while germination in the dark at temperatures above 15°C decreases compared to alternating lighting.

The variety is used as a pasture and hay crop, adapted to the conditions of highlands and northern latitudes.
