Perennial grass of dark green color with narrow, slightly pubescent leaves. The variety possesses strong tillering and develops vigorous rhizomes, due to which it forms a dense turf with a high regeneration rate after mechanical damage.

The inflorescence is a medium-sized pyramidal awnless panicle with greenish-brown spikelets. The seeds are of medium size and grayish-brown in color.

The plant is resistant to intensive loads, trampling, and adverse weather conditions, including overwintering. It forms a uniform stand that maintains quality at low mowing heights down to 1.5–2 cm. Under conditions of excess moisture, susceptibility to rots is possible.
