The variety was developed at the Hladké Životice breeding station in the Czech Republic. The selection process utilized methods of gene mutation induction, which allowed for the change of the reproductive mode from apomictic to sexual for cross-varietal hybridization with subsequent fixation of apomixis.

The variety is classified as an agricultural forage crop. In scientific research, identification of the variety is carried out via molecular genetic analysis using PCR markers, specifically through restriction with BsaJI and BsmI enzymes.
