The Pegasus variety was initially included in the Swiss list of recommended varieties as an agricultural crop for forage production. During agronomic research conducted in Switzerland in 1999–2001, it showed the highest dry matter yield among the tested Poa pratensis samples.

The variety possesses pronounced resistance to rust infection, which distinguishes it from other varieties of the same species. Specialized sources note that the variety is intended for agricultural use, and its application for sports or ornamental lawns is extremely rare.
