The variety is used in forestry and agriculture for growing biomass for energy purposes. Phenotypically, the plant belongs to Populus ×generosa, has a semi-spreading crown, a straight cylindrical trunk, and light gray bark.

Upon bud burst, the leaves have a reddish tint, and the buds are colored reddish-brown. The variety was studied in experimental plantings under various European climatic conditions.
