The variety is the result of an intraspecific cross of European aspen and is part of the Ahle 1–20 clone series. Trees of this group are characterized by high growth rates, making them suitable for plantations with a rotation period of 10 to 20 years.

Propagation of this variety using traditional stem cuttings is impossible due to the phase maturity of the material. In vitro micropropagation methods or root cuttings are used for reproduction.
