The variety was obtained by crossing Populus deltoides and Populus nigra. The plant has a narrow crown shape and a straight cylindrical trunk with rough brown bark. Upon unfolding, the leaves have a reddish-purple hue, becoming dark green as they mature.
The variety is distinguished by high productivity and fast growth, especially at a young age. Cuttings possess a good ability to root, and seedlings demonstrate high survival rates. The wood of the variety has a base density of 0.35 g/cm³ and is characterized by minimal taper.
The plant is suitable for cultivation on various soil types, including clay and slightly calcareous soils. The variety is used in intensive forestry, including short-rotation plantations, and is intended for the production of high-quality wood, veneer, and biomass.
