The variety is a female clone obtained through controlled crossing. It belongs to the section Aigeiros × Tacamahaca and is part of the UNAL clone group, developed for the needs of the forestry industry.

The plant possesses a high capacity for biomass growth, which makes it promising for short-rotation forestry projects. The productivity of the variety directly depends on site characteristics, such as soil type and moisture level.

The variety is characterized by susceptibility to a number of phytopathologies, including rust and bacterial canker of poplar. Due to the risk of disease infection in some regions, its use in forest plantations has been restricted.
